📊 Our Transparency Commitment
We believe you deserve to know exactly how moderation works on StudyPlugHub. This policy explains how we review content, what decisions we make, and how you can challenge those decisions. We publish quarterly transparency reports.
🔄 How Moderation Works
StudyPlugHub uses a three-tier moderation system:
Level 1 — AI Moderation
Every post and reply is automatically reviewed by our AI moderation system (Google Gemini) immediately after publication. The AI checks for hate speech, explicit content, spam, bullying and policy violations.
Outcome: High-severity violations are hidden immediately. Medium-severity content is flagged for human review. Clean content publishes instantly.
Level 2 — Community Reporting
Every member can report any post or reply using the 🚩 Report button. Reported content goes to our moderation queue for human review within 48 hours.
Outcome: Reported content is reviewed by a human moderator who decides to approve, remove or escalate.
Level 3 — Founder Review
Derick Aboagye (Founder) personally reviews escalated cases, appeals and community health regularly. Final moderation authority rests with the founder.
Outcome: Final decisions on complex cases, appeals and permanent bans are made at this level.

Hate Speech
Racism, tribalism, ethnic slurs, religious intolerance, sexism, discrimination
Harassment
Bullying, targeted attacks, threats, repeated unwanted contact, public humiliation
Explicit Content
Sexually suggestive content, graphic violence, disturbing imagery
Misinformation
Deliberately false exam info, fake results, harmful academic misinformation
Spam
Repeated identical posts, promotional content, referral schemes, advertising
Privacy Violations
Sharing others' personal info, doxxing, unauthorised contact details
Copyright Infringement
Reproducing copyrighted textbooks, sharing purchased exam papers illegally
Child Safety
Any content that endangers, exploits or is inappropriate for minors
✅ Content We Actively Encourage
📩 Appeals Process
If you believe a moderation decision was made in error:
Email legal@studyplughub.com with subject line "Moderation Appeal"
Include your username, the content removed, and why you believe it was an error
We review all appeals within 7 days and respond with our decision
If moderation was an error, we restore your content or account immediately
Note: Appeals are not available for permanent bans related to child safety violations, hate speech or doxxing.
🚩 How to Report
If you see content that violates our guidelines:
All reports are confidential. The person you report will never know you reported them.
